Deepika clears the air about SRK

Deepika-PadukoneMumbai, May 20 : Deepika Padukone has rubbished rumours that her "Chennai Express" co-star Shah Rukh Khan has asked her not to go for the promotional tour of her film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", and says he will never do such a thing.

"That's not true at all. Shah Rukh is the most encouraging person I have worked with. He is extremely proud of me and my achievements and he would never do something like that," she said here.


It's normal to work with Deepika: Ranbir

Ranbir-KapoorMumbai, May 18 :  Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor admits people find it weird that he feels comfortable to work on screen with his former girlfriend Deepika Padukone. But he says it comes naturally to him, and it is absolutely normal.

Having worked together in the forthcoming "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", Ranbir says it wasn't a new beginning for them, but a continuation of their friendship.


Ranbir, Deepika in TV show for movie promotion

Ranbir-DeepikaNew Delhi, May 17 : "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are ready to take the small screen route to promote their forthcoming romantic film. They will shoot together with the cast of the serial "Pyaar Ka Dard Hai".

The duo will shoot with the cast in Mumbai Monday.

"They are doing this for the promotion of their movie. They will be coming to celebrate Pankhuri's (lead female character's) birthday," said a source.

The special episode, featuring the Bollywood stars, will air May 27.

"Don't try and follow fashion blindly. Yes, of course, trends keep changing, fashion keeps changing and people believe that you should keep up with the times and I don't think that's a bad thing to do. But think at the same time, you should not forget your own personality, the person that you are, your body type, your confidence level and dress accordingly," said the actress while sharing fashion tips at an event.

While Deepika and Anushka made their Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in "Om Shanti Om" (2007) and "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" (2008), respectively, Kangna entered filmdom with the 2006 hit movie "Gangster-A Love Story".


Adventures of 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' unit

yeh-jawaani-hai-deewaniNew Delhi, April 16  :  If one goes by its trailers, it looks like the entire unit of "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" had loads of fun. But the experience of shooting it in Shimla was quite an adventure, says director Ayan Mukherji.

Parts of the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer were shot in Himachal Pradesh as well as in Kashmir, and the weather conditions at the time of the shoot in January weren't great. However, the cast and crew had to deal with the situation, said sources.

There were especially food hassles.


We're friends for life, says Deepika of Ranbir

Deepika-Ranbir.New Delhi, April 11 : Deepika Padukone, who teamed up with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor after five years in forthcoming film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD), says they are not into a relationship any more but are friends for life.

"Ranbir and I were in a relationship. But we are friends now and will be for life. We know each other well and we had a lovely time shooting (the film)," Deepika said in a statement.

Deepika-PadukoneMumbai, April 10 : Deepika Padukone says she had fun playing "wicked" in "Cocktail". Now gearing up for distinct films like "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" and "Ram Leela", the actress says she is happy that she gets a "fair amount of choices" in Bollywood.

"Yes, I get a fair amount of choices. There are so many different kinds of films being made, and therefore so many roles. 2012 was an amazing year for cinema. 2013 seems equally exciting," Deepika said.


'Kochadaiyaan' trailer to be released at Cannes

KochadaiyaanChennai, April 2  :  The trailer of Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer Tamil period-drama "Kochadaiyaan" will be unveiled at the forthcoming Cannes International Film Festival in May. The Tamil superstar himself will be present at the event.

"We will launch the trailer of 'Kochadaiyaan' at the Cannes film festival," Amita Naidu, vice president, PR Eros, told IANS.

Directed by Soundarya Ashwin, daughter of Rajinikanth, the film is India's first movie filmed in motion-capture technology, along the lines of "Avatar" and "Tin Tin".


Ranbir comes to Deepika's rescue

Ranbir-KapoorMumbai, March 20 : Ranbir Kapoor came to the rescue of his "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" co-star and former lady love Deepika Padukone when a rather awkward question was posed to her regarding her "RK" tattoo.

During the duo's earlier 2008 release "Bachna Ae Haseeno", Deepika had got "RK" inked on the nape of her neck. At that time, she was dating Ranbir.

Ranbir became upset when a reporter here asked Deepika if she would be ready to sport another tattoo for the promotion of "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".


I share a comfort level with Deepika, says Ranbir

Ranbir-KapoorNew Delhi, March 19 : Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is busy shooting Ayan Mukerji's "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani"(YJHD), admitted that he doesn't have any problem sharing the screen space with ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone in the film.

"Deepika and I have moved on as individuals and as actors," Ranbir said in a statement.

The film features Ranbir and Deepika in the lead roles.  Kalki Koechlin also plays a pivotal role in the film.

Ranbir, who was last seen with Deepika in "Bachna Ae Haseeno", finds her completely "passionate and ambitious".


Deepika gets homely with 'Chennai Express' team

She also posted a picture of people on the sets of "Chennai Express". In the image, Deepika is seen enjoying a hearty lunch with the team.

Director Ayan Mukherji's upcoming project has been in news as it brings back real life ex-couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together onscreen after 2008 movie "Bachna Ae Haseeno".

The news of the trailer was posted on the official Twitter account of the movie, which said:" 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' trailer will be out on the 19th of March."

Co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films, "Race 2" had earned Rs. 51.35 crore over first weekend. In the following days, film earned Rs. 7.5 crore Monday, Rs. 6.5 crore Tuesday, Rs. 5.75 crore Wednesday, Rs. 5 crore Thursday and Rs. 3.5 crore Friday.
