Chicago, Feb 23 : A second grade student's letter written to President Barack Obama, asking him to help the homeless, has been included in a new book called "Dear Mr. President," which features 150 letters and drawings from children around the world.

Aleshay Clay (7), studying at the Bouchet Elementary Math and Science Academy, is worried so much about the destitute people in her neighborhood that she wrote a letter to Obama urging him to do something.

New York, Feb 23 : The head of America's oldest civil rights group has urged a boycott of the New York Post for publishing a cartoon which he said is an invitation to assassinate President Barack Obama.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) President and CEO, Benjamin Todd Jealous, has given the boycott call, and demanded the removal of its editor-in-chief Col Allan.

The New York Post's decision to publish the cartoon "picks off the scabs of all the racial wounds," Jealous said, and is "an invitation to assassination."

Washington, Feb. 23 : Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and two other Republican governors are not ruling out the possibility of running for president in 2012.

Speaking on "FOX News Sunday," South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford said that he has learnt never to predict the future, though as of now, he doesn't plan to run.

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty said he is thinking about running for re-election in 2010, and that if he were to win, people would expect him to serve out his term.

Washington, Feb 22 : British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will visit President Barack Obama at the White House on Tuesday, March 3, for a "working visit".

Brown will be the second foreign leader to visit Obama at the White House, The Washington Times reported.

Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso will visit Obama on Tuesday, the White House said.

"The United States and the United Kingdom share a special partnership, and the President looks forward to working closely with the Prime Minister to address common global challenges," the White House said in a statement.

London, Feb 22 : The selection of Louis Susman, a lawyer and banker from President Barack Obama's hometown of Chicago, in place of an experienced diplomat has raised new questions about his pre poll campaign promises to change politics and not continue the practise of doling out prized ambassadorships to cronies.

Obama has been embroiled in a cronyism row after reports that he intends to make Susman, one of his biggest fundraisers, the new US Ambassador in London, The Telegraph reported.
