Brown to be first European leader to meet Obama
Washington, Feb 22 : British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will visit President Barack Obama at the White House on Tuesday, March 3, for a "working visit".
Brown will be the second foreign leader to visit Obama at the White House, The Washington Times reported.
Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso will visit Obama on Tuesday, the White House said.
"The United States and the United Kingdom share a special partnership, and the President looks forward to working closely with the Prime Minister to address common global challenges," the White House said in a statement.
"The two leaders will discuss a range of issues, including the global financial crisis, the April economic summit in London, a comprehensive strategy in Afghanistan, and the upcoming 60th anniversary NATO summit in Strasbourg-Kehl." (ANI)
