San Francisco - Democratic candidate Barack Obama was visiting his ailing grandmother in Hawaii on Friday, and told reporters he feared that the woman who raised him after his mother died would not live until election day.

"Without going through the details too much, she's gravely ill," Obama told ABC's Good Morning America on Friday. "You know, we weren't sure, and I'm still not sure, whether she makes it to election day. We're all praying and we hope she does."

Washington - Scott McClellan, the former White House spokesman and once a close confidant of President George W Bush, has said he will vote for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on November 4.

McClellan, who has since fallen out with Bush after sharply criticizing the president in his memoirs this spring, said Obama was best placed to change the way Washington does business, according to excerpts of a CNN interview to be broadcast on Saturday.

McClellan served as White House press secretary from 2003 to 2006. He had been a part of Bush's media team since his days as governor of Texas in the 1990s.

London, Oct 24 : John McCain, the Republican Presidential candidate, recently in a major gaffe said he agreed with Obama supporters that some people from western Pennsylvania were racist.

According to the Telegraph, while speaking to an audience in the region, the Senator said, "You know, I think you may have noticed that Senator Obama''s supporters have been saying some pretty nasty things about Western Pennsylvania lately.”

"And you know, I couldn''t agree with them more," he added.
