McCain’s latest gaffe is agreeing with Obama supporters about racist Pennsylvania
London, Oct 24 : John McCain, the Republican Presidential candidate, recently in a major gaffe said he agreed with Obama supporters that some people from western Pennsylvania were racist.
According to the Telegraph, while speaking to an audience in the region, the Senator said, "You know, I think you may have noticed that Senator Obama''s supporters have been saying some pretty nasty things about Western Pennsylvania lately.”
"And you know, I couldn''t agree with them more," he added.
While correcting himself he muttered, "I couldn''t disagree with you more" before finally, at the third attempt saying,” I couldn''t agree with you more than the fact that Western Pennsylvania is the most patriotic, most god-loving, most, most patriotic part of America, and this is a great part of the country."
The gaffe was the latest in a bad week of televised appearances for McCain which reflected his exhaustion after a grueling two-year campaign approaching its final week, the paper was quoted as saying. (ANI)
