Washington, Apr. 8: President George W. Bush didn''t drink beer, but President Barack Obama does, which means that Craig Purser, the president of the National Beer Wholesalers Association, is a happy man.

"We''re definitely pleased to see him enjoying a cold one," Purser said told Politico.

"It''s great to have someone who understands and enjoys the product," he added.

Purser admits that lobbying on behalf of alcohol can be a sweet gig.

Washington - US President Barack Obama urged a peaceful solution to long-running disputes between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey in a telephone call Tuesday with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.

Obama, who visited Turkey this week before making a surprise stop in Iraq Tuesday afternoon, said the US was committed to "supporting progress" to resolve a long-running conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabah, a region claimed by both countries.

Washington  - President Barack Obama said the United States was ready to help the more than 200 victims of a devastating earthquake in the heart of Italy and offered his condolences in a telephone call Tuesday with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The Italian people and victims "are in the thoughts and prayers of the American people at this time," Obama told his Italian counterpart, according to the White House.

Berlin - The Kennedy Museum in Berlin is putting on an exhibition about US President Barack Obama, drawing parallels with his predecessor John F. Kennedy.

Around 50 exhibits are to be included in the exhibition, which carries the subtitle "On the tracks of the Kennedys?"

Many of the photos on display will be from the official White House photographer Pete Souza, who had accompanied Obama as a senator before his inauguration.
