San Francisco/Los Angeles  - The US economy may be deep in the doldrums, but there's one sector where enterprising entrepreneurs are still making a fortune.

Since last week's victory by Barack Obama, souvenirs of the president-elect are selling like the crash never happened, as his supporters and foreign tourists rush to get their hands on almost anything that commemorates the election of the first African-American president.

There are some limits, of course.

Zeituni Onyango was ordered to leave the country in 2004 by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya.

Washington, Nov 13 : A seven-page questionnaire being sent by the office of President-elect Barack Obama to those seeking cabinet and other high-ranking posts may be the most extensive — some say invasive — application ever.

The questionnaire includes 63 requests for personal and professional records, some covering applicants’ spouses and grown children as well, that are forcing job-seekers to rummage from basements to attics, in shoe boxes, diaries and computer archives to document both their achievements and missteps, The New York Times reported.

To have a bowling alley or a basketball court, traditional presidential porcelain or contemporary American china, a painting of the American frontier or one that captures Chicago’s skyline are are some of the choices Barack and Michelle Obama will make as they transform the 208-year-old White House into the place they call home.

Chicago, Nov. 13 : The incoming Obama administration is still mulling over will be its “climate czar”, though many names are being bandied about.

Former Vice President Al Gore is being floated as a possible ''climate czar''. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nancy Floyd, founder and managing director of Nth Power, a green-tech venture capital firm, Dan Reicher, Google''s director of climate change and energy initiatives, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and Kansas Governor. Kathleen Sebelius are some of the other names being touted around for the job.
