Washington, Nov. 30 : Every one of the members that US President-elect Barack Obama has picked for his Cabinet is known in political and administrative circles for having his or her voice heard and, there is a concern now surfacing about whether these talented big names, big intellects, and big egos will be able to co-exist.

Official announcements and Senate confirmations notwithstanding, Obama will have a team of heavyweights at his beck and call. They include: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Vice President Joe Biden, retired four-star Marine general Jim Jones as his National Security Adviser, and four-star General David Petraeus as chief of U. S. Central Command.

Chicago, Nov. 30 : A former adviser to US President-elect Barack Obama who shockingly branded one-time Democratic rival Hillary Clinton a "monster" and was forced to quit, has now been named as a member of the transition team for completing the vetting process that will clear the way for Clinton to be the next Secretary of State.

Samantha Power caused a huge uproar in American political circles at the height of the primary contest, when she told The Scotsman in an interview "She (Hillary) is a monster, too. She is stooping to anything."

Obama talks to Manmohan Singh, offers deepest condolences

New Delhi/Washington, Nov. 29 : US President-elect Barack Obama spoke over phone with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Saturday and conveyed his deepest condolences to him for the victims who had died at the hands of terrorists in Mumbai over the last three days.

A release from the Prime Minister''s Office said that Dr. Singh apprised Obama about the latest situation prevailing in Mumbai, including the fact that the counter-terrorism operation has ended after more than 60 hours.

Obama, according to the PMO release, is said to have asserted that terrorism cannot defeat "India''s great democracy".

Daniel Craig, Barack Obama among new Who’s Who entries

James Bond star Daniel CraigWashington, November 29 : James Bond star Daniel Craig and U. S. President-elect Barack Obama have made it to the latest edition of Who’s Who.

The ‘Casino Royal’ star has now become the fourth person to have a mention in the list of actors who have portrayed Bond in films. Sir Sean Connery, Sir Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan are the other three stars.

Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby are the only actors who were less successful as Ian Fleming''s secret agent, and have failed to make the grade.

Obama to name Defense Secretary on Monday

Obama to name Defense Secretary on MondayChicago, Nov. 29 : US President-elect Barack Obama is likely to name the country’s Defense Secretary on Monday, a senior Pentagon official told Fox News.

Media has so far reported that current Defense Secretary Robert Gates plans to accept an offer to remain in the post for at least a year, but a senior Pentagon official did not confirm those reports.

Gates, who is at his home in Washington State, plans to visit Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota on Monday at 1 p. m. to address about 1,000 airmen.

Obama: Terrorists will not defeat Indian democracy Washington  - US president-elect Barack Obama late Friday declared that India's "great democracy" and the global coalition against terrorism would stand united in the face of massive terrorist attacks in India's commercial capital Mumbai.

"These terrorists who targeted innocent civilians will not defeat India's great democracy, nor shake the will of a global coalition to defeat them," Obama said in a statement.
