Peaceful transition of power is my priority: Musharraf
Islamabad, Feb 25: President Pervez Musharraf has said that a peaceful transition of power was his first priority, and he did not want a confrontation.
Musharraf expressed his concern for national reconciliation at a meeting with the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, and party Punjab President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, at the presidential camp office in Rawalpindi.
Hussain informed Musharraf about the PML-Q’s future political strategy and told him about the party’s decision to sit in the opposition in Parliament.
He also said that his party fully respects the people’s mandate, and it was obvious that the party that had won a majority should form the Government.
"The PML-Q would play a dynamic role in Parliament," the Daily Times quoted Shujaat, as saying. (ANI)
