Pankaj Vaish to take charge of Citi’s Head of Markets, for South Asia - India, Bangladesh and Sri LankaOne of the largest banks in the world- Citibank has appointed Pankaj Vaish as Head of Markets for Citi in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Vaish will shoulder the responsibilities for the fixed income, currencies, credit, commodities and equities businesses of the bank.

Prior to this, Vaish was working with Nomura Securities as a Managing Director and Head of Equities. In Citibank he is subjected to report to the top notch of the company including Rodrigo Zorilla, Head of Global Markets at Citi Asia Pacific and to Pramit Jhaveri, CEO at Citi India.

Vaish holds immense knowledge and expertise in the capital markets as he has worked for almost 19 years across product lines, especially in the field of hedge funds.

Interestingly this is not Vaish's first stint with the bank as in the past also he has been associated with Citi at its new York branch as MD, Proprietary Trading, where he took care of North America Equity Derivatives Trading & Structuring, Global Commodity Derivatives and Fixed Income Derivatives Trading activities.

Vaish holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Management from Sloan School.
