Pakistan drops to seventh place in ICC Test ranking
Lahore, Oct 13 : Pakistan’s loss to South Africa in Test series has seen them drop one place in the latest ICC Test Championship ranking. The defeat has cost the team three rating points and that has been enough to drop them below New Zealand into seventh place in the updated ladder.
Pakistan had previously been on the same mark as the Black Caps – 99 points, but occupied the higher placing when the ratings were calculated to three decimal places.
Pakistan’s first chance to reverse their slide down the table will come when they travel to India to play three Tests and five ODIs in November and December.
South Africa’s series win against Pakistan has seen them gain three ratings points, which places the team behind joint third placed teams – India and Sri Lanka.
Australia still lead the table, 30 rating points ahead of second-placed England. (ANI)
