Pak unlikely to ever act against terrorists on its soil: US SenatorWashington, Apr. 8 : Raising questions over Pakistan's will to act against extremists, the Democrat Senator from Michigan and head of the Armed Services Committee, Carl Levin has said that it is unlikely that Islamabad would ever act against terrorists based on its soil.

"The evidence is mixed as to whether or not the government in Pakistan is going to take on the religious extremists," The Daily Times quoted Levin, as saying.

Levin also urged the United States to de-hyphenate Pakistan from its joint AFPAK strategy.

"The Obama administration should not link its efforts in Afghanistan too closely with Pakistan," he said.

Senator Levin also highlighted Pakistan's lack of will to counter extremists from spilling over to Afghanistan.

"The border is wide open now. Extremists are flowing across that border into Afghanistan. Pakistan has not done anything to stop them," Levin added. (ANI)
