Odyssey Technologies has introduced a paperless verification and enrolment system through its newly launched software product Odyssey Epic, apparently to target banks and financial institutions.

The product is designed to offer high level security during the verification and user enrolment process, by reducing dependence on papers, hence, saving both money and time.

Odyssey Epic fetches information only in digital form, thereby avoiding collection of papers and photographs. The product supports a camera mobile phone with a smart card and software to fetch data. It is loaded with a GPRS-enabled SIM, having information regarding customers, and a Windows/Symbian operating system for conducting transactions in a better way.

It is able to convert textual information and documents into a single PDF file and matches it with previously issued digital signs using the smart card in the phone and a digital certificate to prove its authenticity. The software can prove very much beneficial to banks for directly storing data and ensuring its correctness.

B Robert Raja, Managing Director Odyssey Technologies, said that the product is the fruit of 18 months of relentless efforts of the company, which will help in avoiding form filling processes using mobile phone and ensuring security of data being processed.
