Obama gifts daughters new playground in White House gardens
London, March 6 : U. S. President Barack Obama has got a new playground made in the gardens of the White House for his two daughters.
The playground, made from 100 per cent cedar and North American Redwood, boasts a swing set, climbing frame and slide.
These arrangements have been made just outside the Oval office so that the President may watch his kids playing while he works.
This is said to be the first playground at the White House, which has been built in accordance with Obama's pledge to create a greener environment.
Sasha, 7, and her elder sister Malia, 10, are said to be very happy with their father's latest present.
Presidential staff have revealed that the little girls, who are still waiting for the puppy their father promised them, squealed with delight when they saw it.
"Many first families have made these sorts of changes to make the White House feel like home," Sky News quoted a spokeswoman for First Lady Michelle Obama as saying.
Katie McCormick Lelyveld added: "This one is like their little mark."
Barack and Michelle Obama's daughters are the youngest children to live in the White House since Amy Carter, 9, in 1977. (ANI)
