Oasis named Best British Band at NME Awards
London, Feb 26 : Oasis have been honoured with the Best British Band gong at NME Awards.
Hero of the Year title went to US President Barack Obama while Villain of the Year went to former president George W Bush for a record-breaking sixth time.
Pete Doherty was named best male solo artist, reports the Telegraph.
Kings of Leon bagged the best album award for 'Only By The Night', which also earned them a Brit last week.
Amy Winehouse was named the world's worst dressed woman, while television presenter Alexa Chung was voted best dressed.
The Cure won the Godlike Genius Award and closed the ceremony at London's Brixton Academy.
