Northrop Grumman gets contract for sensors repairs from U.S. Air ForceOfficials have revealed that Northrop Grumman has received a contract from the U. S. Air Force to provide sensor-repair support on the company's deployed unmanned aircraft technologies.

It has been announced by U. S. defense company Northrop Grumman that it will develop an interim repair line separate from its current production line for the Global Hawk unmanned aircraft program with the Air Force.

George Guerra, Northrop Grumman vice president of high-altitude, long-endurance systems, said in a statement, "Northrop Grumman remains committed to providing the warfighter the most reliable resources to support their needs … the dedicated repair facility will further allow us to make this possible."

The interim repair line will be set up by the Air Force and is expected to be operated at Northrop Grumman's Space and Airborne Systems facilities in California.

The facility will be responsible for the Global Hawk unmanned aircraft system's integrated sensors suite and enhanced integrated sensors suite repairs, the company further says. (With Inputs from Agencies)
