India's leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is trying to increase sales in overseas markets as demand in domestic market is slowing.

Maruti, which accounts for nearly 40 per cent of India's passenger car market, has long been struggling to boost sales as Indian car market has been suffering declining sales for the past eight consecutive months. Telecommunications giant Vodafone on Thursday announced the launch of competitively priced mobile internet initiative `Be Smart' in the Mumbai circle as part of its efforts to boost adoption of high speed third-generation (3G) Internet.

Cosmetic brand Estée Lauder, along with University Hospitals Case Medical Center, studied 60 women aged between 30 and 49, reports huffingtonpost. com. The effects their sleep patterns had on their skin was analysed. They were divided into 30 poor quality sleepers and 30 good quality sleepers.

During the four nights of evaluation, tests were conducted to find out how each woman's skin fared.

Patna, July 26 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Friday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the demand by a BJP MP that the Bharat Ratna be taken back from noted economist and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen.

"This just makes it clear that the decision of parting ways with the BJP was totally correct. What kind of thinking do they have," Nitish Kumar told reporters here.

Sen had Monday said that he did not want to see Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the prime minister of the country as Modi did not have secular credentials.
