Lucknow, August 1 : The Uttar Pradesh government Thursday firmed up its stand on the suspension of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, with Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav saying the administration "is within its right to suspend any errant official".

Talking to reporters after a cabinet meeting, Yadav said a unilateral decision of the suspended officer could have led to communal trouble and government would in no way tolerate any such action that risks communal harmony in the state.

New Delhi, August 1 : Maruti Suzuki Thursday reported a 1.3 percent rise in its July sales at 83,299 units from 82,234 units sold in last year's corresponding period.

There was a sharp drop in exports. The company exported 8,154 units in July, a 27.3 percent drop from 11,210 units shipped overseas during the corresponding month of last year.

Domestic sales were up 5.8 percent to 75,145 units during the month under review from 71,024 units sold in July 2012.

Mini-car segment that includes M800, Alto, A-Star and WagonR grew 15.8 percent at 33,587 units from 28,998 units sold in the same month of 2012.

Los Angeles, August 1 : Singer Katy Perry says she has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and it started during her childhood.

The 28-year-old's medical condition first flared up when she was a youngster, reports contactmusic. com.

"I have OCD tendencies. I do strange things with buttoning everything up and colour coordinating it, hanging it in a certain way. When things are out of control in your childhood, you find things to focus on," Elle magazine quoted her as saying.
