Beijing, Sep 10 : A six-member delegation of the opposition Syrian National Dialogue Forum has started its visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei confirmed Tuesday.

During their stay, senior officials of the Chinese foreign ministry will meet and exchange views with them, Xinhua quoted Hong as saying at a daily news briefing.

"China has been engaged in mediation efforts with all parties involved in the Syrian issue in an active and balanced way, making unremitting endeavours to push for a political solution," Hong said.

Chennai, Sep 10 : The trailer of digitally restored version of actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan-starrer 1979 Tamil comedy "Ninaithale Inikkum" will be released here Sep 13.

"Kamal Haasan will release the trailer of 'Ninaithale Inikkum'. The film has been digitally restored and is getting ready for release soon," said a statement.

Kamal, who co-starred in the film with superstar Rajinikanth and Jayaprada, will release the trailer in the presence of the film's director K. Balachandar.

Moscow, Sep 10 : Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has expressed support for Russia's latest initiative to end the crisis in Syria over the alleged use of chemical weapons.

In a telephonic conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Abe expressed Japan's support for Russia’s initiative to place Syria’s chemical weapons under international control, the Kremlin press-service said Tuesday.

“Abe has highly evaluated the efforts Russia is taking on this track,” the press service said.

Beijing, Sep 10 : The world's highest civilian airport, Daocheng Yading Airport in China situated at a height of 4,411 metres above sea level, is expected to start operating from Sep 16, the country's tourism authorities announced Tuesday.

Located in southwest China's Sichuan province, the airport will cut travel time between Dacheng county and the provincial capital of Chengdu from two days by bus to 65 minutes by plane, Xinhua reported.

Two-wheeler giant Hero MotoCorp has declared that it would not accept any indiscipline and insubordination by workers at its plans.

Hero MotoCorp has been suffering labour unrest at its Haridwar manufacturing facility since late last month. The unrest seems to be spreading across its network as workers' union HMCWU at its Gurgaon plant has also threatened to go on a strike as a protest against the suspension of nine employees.

Modi spoke at a public rally at Amroodon Ka Baag here Tuesday to mark the completion of 78-day-long election campaigning tours carried out by former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje across the state.
