New Delhi, Sep 12 : President Pranab Mukherjee Thursday approved Congress president Sonia Gandhi's pet food security bill, making it a law.

"The National Food Security Bill, 2013 has received the assent of the President of India," said a statement from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Lok Sabha passed the bill Aug 26 while the Rajya Sabha cleared it Sep 2.

The bill was introduced in parliament in December 2011.

The largest scheme anywhere in the world gives right to subsidised grains to two-thirds of India's 1.2 billion population numbering around 800 million.

New Delhi, Sep 12 : With e-cigarette usage increasing among the youth, the World Health Organisation Thursday called on countries to frame regulatory guidelines to keep a tab on their usage.

WHO representative Angela Patt said the size of the e-cigarette market will increase rapidly in coming years, and currently there is little research on the health impact of the long-term use of e-cigarettes.

"It was more intimidating than the driving scenes," Hemsworth confessed. "It's like 100 people standing around, 'Get (your clothes) off!' 'You going to turn around first.. Turn the cameras off..'," Hemsworth said in a statement.
