Bangladesh seeks US assistance to rescue abducted BRAC official in Afghanistan

Dhaka, Sept 19 : Bangladesh has made a request to the United States authorities in seeking release of the abducted aid workers of the country's leading non-governmental organisation operating in Afghanistan.

Bangladesh's Foreign Affairs Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed made the request during the official talks between him and the visiting US Deputy Assistant Secretary of States for South and Central Asia Affairs, John Gastrait, today.

The talks were extremely cordial, said a statement of the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs after the meeting

Schall’s complaint has been filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, reported E! Online.

He claimed that he helped Hudgens negotiate all the songwriting and recording deals, which helped her earn more than 5 million dollars.

Kathmandu, Sept 19 : The United Kingdom has pledged an aid of eight million dollars for the peace process in Nepal.

Visiting British International Development Minister Shahid Malik offered the aid to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today.

During his meeting with Koirala at Baluwatar, Malik described the Maoist decision to quit government as unfortunate, and stressed the need for political consensus.

Koirala’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Dr Suresh Chalise told this to reporters after the meeting.
