Pakistan to play in Champions Trophy: PHF

Lahore, Sept 19 : The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has confirmed its team’s participation in the Champions Trophy after reports were making the rounds that it may skip the tournament as it has been shifted from Pakistan on security grounds.

PHF Secretary Khalid Mahmood has said that Pakistan would take part in the tournament despite the International Hockey Federation’s (FIH) decision to hold it in some other country.

London, Sept 19 : Former squash world champion Jansher Khan of Pakistan, who retired in 1998, is all set to make a comeback when he competes in the inaugural London Open at the Cumberland Club here next month.

One of the greatest squash players of all-time, 38-year-old Jansher will make his first international appearance since winning the last of his 99 Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour titles in 1998.

Martha Stewart to launch signature wine brand

Washington, Sept 19 : Lifestyle queen Martha Stewart is set to give her name to a new range of wines.

The star has finalized a deal with Californian wine company, Ernest and Julio Gallo, which will make 15,000 cases of wine under the ‘Stewart’ brand, reports Contactmusic.

As per her company, ‘Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’, the wine cases will be initially made to be shipped to a limited number of cities which includes Boston, Massachusetts; Denver, Colorado, and Ohio.

London, Sept 19 : Actress Billie Piper revealed that she is nervous about playing the role of a prostitute called Belle De Jour in a new eight-part ITV2 drama, The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.

Dhaka, Sept 19 : Bangladesh has made a request to the United States authorities in seeking release of the abducted aid workers of the country's leading non-governmental organisation operating in Afghanistan.

Bangladesh's Foreign Affairs Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed made the request during the official talks between him and the visiting US Deputy Assistant Secretary of States for South and Central Asia Affairs, John Gastrait, today.

The talks were extremely cordial, said a statement of the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs after the meeting
