Washington, Sept 3 : Angelina Jolie has revealed how she, husband Brad Pitt, and their family honored her late mother Marcheline Bertrand at their wedding.

The 39-year-old beauty, who finally got married to Pitt, 50, in a close ceremony at their French estate, Chateau Miraval, told People magazine that the 'World War Z' star had a tribute etched on the special stone they stood on in the chapel.

The 'Maleficent' star added that she too wore a little flower ring that belonged to her mother while her brother, James Haven, wore an angel pin from Bertrand's jewelry box to honor her.

Islamabad, Sep 03 - After Pakistan's dismal show in ODI series in Sri Lanka, former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif wants Misbah-ul-Haq to step down as ODI skipper.

According to the Dawn, Latif said Pakistan were disastrously under-prepared for the World Cup which is now just four months away.

The former wicket-keeper told the Press Trust of India that it was time for Misbah to be replaced, keeping in mind the way Pakistan performed in Sri Lanka.

Latif said that the team seamed directionless even with the presence of former high profile cricketers like Waqar Younis and Moin Khan.

Mumbai: Continuing its rising streak for the ninth straight session, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose over 129 points to hit a new high of 27,148.90 in opening trade on Wednesday on sustained foreign capital inflows coupled with a firming trend on other Asian bourses.

The 30-share index, which had gained over 705 points in the previous eight sessions, gathered another 129.51 points, or 0.47 percent, to trade at a new peak of 27,148.90, surpassing its earlier record of 27,082.85 touched on Tuesday (intra-day).

Mumbai: Snapping its four-day losing streak, the rupee recovered by seven paise to 60.61 against the US dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on Wednesday amid sustained overseas capital inflows.

Fresh selling of the American currency by exporters amid sustained inflows of foreign funds supported the rupee, forex dealers said.

Besides, a higher opening in the domestic equity market also helped the rupee but the dollar's gain against other currencies overseas, capped the rise, they added.

Johannesburg, Sep 02 - England coach Peter Moores has admitted on Monday that the squad faces a race against time if they want to prove themselves to be serious contenders to win next year's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

No England side has ever lifted the World Cup, with the last of their three losing appearances in the final back in 1992, when the tournament was last staged 'Down Under'.

New Delhi: Seeking to make a mark in the big car segment, the country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India will open bookings of its upcoming mid-sized sedan Ciaz from tomorrow.

Ciaz will be available in petrol and Diesel fuel options powered by a 1.4 litre and 1.3 litre engines respectively.

"The global launch of Ciaz is planned during the forthcoming festival season," the company said in a statement.

Ciaz' main competitors will be Honda City, priced between Rs 7.19 lakh and Rs 11.05 lakh, and Hyundai Verna tagged between Rs 7.39 lakh and Rs 11.72 lakh (ex showroom Delhi).
