Washington, Sept 5 - NASA's Rosetta-Alice spectrograph has obtained the first far ultraviolet spectra of a cometary surface while orbiting 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko .

The ultraviolet imaging spectrometer, which will be the first to study a comet up close, is a shoebox-sized instrument and one-third to one-half the mass of comparable UV instruments, yet with more than 10,000 times as many imaging pixels as the spectrometer aboard Galileo.

Washington, Sept 5 : A new study has found that postmenopausal women who consume potassium-rich foods like banana face lesser risk of stroke and death.

Senior author Sylvia Wassertheil-Smoller, Ph. D., from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY, said that previous studies had shown that potassium consumption may lower blood pressure. The findings give women another reason to eat their fruits and vegetables for they are good sources of potassium, which not only lowers postmenopausal women's risk of stroke, but also death.

Washington, Sep 5 - Apple's iWatch is expected to come in two sizes, sport a flexible display with sapphire glass cover, and feature several health functions.

According to The Verge, the wearable is being called Apple's most ambitious project yet; the watch would have sensors capable of tracking a wearer's footsteps and heart rate, among other vital signs.

It is also reported that the watch would include NFC, a type of close-range, wireless communications system and with all those top-notch features, the watch is also said to use a wireless charger.
