Washington, Feb 19 : A new research has revealed that a complex network of isolated hills, ridges and small basins spanning 1400 km on Mars may be hiding large quantities of water-ice.

Phlegra Montes stretches from the Elysium volcanic region at about 30 degree N and deep into the northern lowlands at about 50 degree N, and is a product of ancient tectonic forces. Its age is estimated to be 3.65-3.91 billion years.

ESA's Mars Express imaged the portion of Phlegra Montes seen on 8 October 2014. It captures the southernmost tip of the range centred on 31degreeN / 160 degree E.

Facebook building versions of its apps in 'virtual reality'

Washington, Feb 19 : Facebook has reportedly declared that it is building versions of its apps in virtual reality.

Chris Cox, the company's head of product said while speaking at Recode's Code Media conference in Dana Point that Facebook VR was on its way. While he did not describe the app in details, he imagines world where people would be able to share their "current environment" with others using the app. It would become an everyday way of sharing, Cox added, reported The Verge.

However, he also added that users may have to wait "a while" before they could try Facebook in virtual reality. "We're a long way away from everyone having those headsets," Cox said.

Microsoft to shut down Windows Phone's 'Rooms Group chat' feature in March

Washington, Feb 19 : Microsoft has reportedly announced its decision to end support for its Windows Phone's Rooms group chat, beginning next month.

The company said in an email that the move was aimed at making way for new features in Windows 10 that will enable users to keep in touch with friends and family, reported The Verge.

Rooms group chats were extension to the People hub that allowed users to hold conversations, share images, notes and calendars in private groups.

Windows Phone 8 users will be able to view their existing "Rooms" but will not be able to create new ones or send any messages from March. The group chat feature will be removed entirely for those who update to Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones.
