American actress and envoy Angelina Jolie underwent surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes to cut her cancer risk.

The actress underwent a double mastectomy two years earlier after a blood test revealed that she carried a gene mutation that gave her an 87% chance of developing breast cancer and a 50% risk of ovarian cancer. At that time, the actress revealed that she had lost her mother, grandmother, and aunt to the disease.

In her piece of writing in New York Times Tuesday, Jolie wrote that she carries a mutation of the BRCA1 gene, which is responsible for the increased risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

But four months after voters threw out Corbett from office, Senate Republicans have decided to change their opinion.

On Monday, Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman said that his administration is preparing a pension reform bill which is quite similar to that of Corbett's plan to cut into $50 billion in long-term debt.

It is still not disclosed what exactly the Senate's new plan will look like, but it is being written by Sen. Pat Browne, R-Lehigh, who tried to get Corbett's plan approved.

Corman said that there are higher possibilities of the new bill to get introduced in April.

Chicks Fries are Back on Burger King Menu

Fast food Restaurant Company Burger King announced on Monday that it has permanently brought back chicken fries on its menu. The latest move by global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants proved that chicken is a hot seller even Burger king is famous for hamburgers.

Tenet teams up with USPI to form Outpatient Surgical Venture

Hospital chain Tenet Healthcare Corporation has decided to form a joint venture with closely held United Surgical Partners International Inc. for the creation of the largest operator of outpatient surgery centers in the United States.

In the Philadelphia region, Tenet owns three hospitals, including Hahnemann University Hospital, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and the St. Chris Pediatric Urgent Care facility in Jenkintown.

The companies, in a statement, said that Tenet will contribute 44 freestanding surgery centers and 20 imaging locations, whereas USPI, owned by private-equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, will add 202 ambulatory surgery centers and 16 surgical hospitals.

Shares of Eli Lilly rise

On Monday, shares of Eli Lilly increased 1.32% to $77.12 in afternoon trading. The shares rose after announcement made by the company that it would carry out late-stage studies with Pfizer (PFE) for their drug, tanezumab. The decision was taken by the company after the Food and Drug Administration decided to lift the partial hold on the trials of these kinds of drugs.

The FDA stopped testing of the chronic pain treatment and also on the ones, which work by blocking a protein called nerve growth factor on account of nervous system complications. Researchers observed these issues while testing the drugs on animals.
