Bill Gates comments on Steve Jobs

The new Steve Jobs autobiographical book 'Becoming Steve Jobs' tells about Microsoft founder Bill Gates' opinions regarding Jobs. Gates has admired Jobs and showed a lot of respect for him. However, he still spoke about the intellect of Jobs, and also the mistakes committed by him. Gates also spoke about Jobs's showmanship.

According to Gates, "I was never in his league. I mean, it was just amazing to see how precisely he would rehearse. And if he's about to go onstage, and his support people don't have the things right, you know, he is really, really, tough on them".

Florida businessman, who was reported Dead in 2013, is still alive

In 2012, Florida businessman Jose Lantigua made odd decisions when his company Circle K Furniture slipped into debt. At that time, he bought new furniture for his home with the company money. In addition, Lantigua built a panic room with steel doors inside his North Carolina hideaway.

Taco Bell to introduce new Line of Biscuits Tacos from Thursday

Taco Bell is introducing a new line of Biscuit Tacos, taco-shaped biscuits with fillings including chicken and gravy. From Thursday, this new breakfast dish will be offered in more than 6,000 US restaurants.

The move is said to be part of an expanded morning menu. Primarily, McDonald's rules the breakfast sector. Therefore, fast-food chains are now making efforts to have their share as well and give stiff competition to McDonald's.

From last year, Taco Bell introduced breakfast menu having waffle tacos, egg burritos and the A.M. Crunchwrap. Customers have appreciated this move of the company and now, breakfast accounts for around 6% of Taco Bell’s sales.

3G Capital in talks to buy Kraft in $40 billion deal

A source familiar with the matter has told Reuters that the Brazilian private equity firm 3G Capital is in negotiations to buy Kraft Foods Group for about $40bn (£27bn).

The possible deal was firstly reported by The Wall Street Journal, which said that Kraft may be valued at $40bn.

Two years ago, 3G teamed up with Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway with a motive to acquire HJ Heinz for $23.2bn. HJ Heinz is the maker of ketchup and baked beans, among other things. 3G Capital is now expected to merge Kraft with Heinz if it clinches a deal. In May, Buffett had said that he expected to work with 3G on more transactions.

In the US, Kraft is battling sluggish demand for packaged food products. Shares of Kraft rose around 16.5% to $71.4 in trading after the bell.

China Tests New Carrier Rocket’s Power System Successfully

On Monday, China successfully completed the second ground test of a power system for its next-generation carrier rocket. The rocket will boost its capability to enter space by at least 2.5 times during missions in 2016.

Long March-5 was first test-fired on February 9 this year. The state-run Xinhua news agency reported that the test of the Long March-5 has completed ahead of its first flight next year.

Tan Yonghua, head of the Academy of Aerospace Propulsion Technology, said that with the help of non-toxic, non-polluting liquid propellant, the engines were test-fired on the ground to test the technology.

Merck’s Keytruda is more Effective Treatment of Advanced Melanoma

Pharmaceutical company Merck announced on Tuesday that it has received positive results from Phase III trial of Keytruda drug. The company stated that the drug met its two primary endpoints in the study as first-line treatment for patients with melanoma.

In the trial, the company has included a total of 834 patients. The patients were given Keytruda 10mg/kg every three weeks, Keytruda 10mg/kg every two weeks, or four cycles of ipilimumab 3mg/kg every three weeks. According to the company, the patients who received Keytruda showed meaningful improvement in overall survival, compared with patients receiving Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.'s ipilmumab and Yervoy.
