Astronomers have not been able to solve the mystery of origin of strange, fast radio bursts that have been detected from space since 2007. These highly energetic radio pulses appear to be coming from a distance of several billion light years.

According to New Scientist, radio telescopes have detected Fast Radio Bursts, which are incredibly short, high-energy pulses. They last for a few milliseconds and erupt with the energy the sun releases in a day.

The signals show a repeating pattern of numbers which doesn’t match with the information scientists know about cosmic physics.

A duck-like drone is being developed by the US Navy. The drone, the Flimmer (Flying Swimmer), is able to fly and swim both. According to reports, the drone can arrive at operational areas more promptly by flying over the surface of the water.

The drone is made up of a rear-facing propeller and wings together with four fins and they adapt according to activity of the robotic craft.

According to Dan Edwards of the NRL’s Electronic Warfare Division, who is leading the Flimmer project, “Experimentation with the Flying WANDA configuration continues. Future flights will explore the performance envelope using the fins as active control surfaces in the air and will continue the landing work”.

On Friday, a private survey showed expansion of China’s services sector in March despite growth decline in employment and new business, lowest in at least eight months.

The HSBC China Services Purchasing Managers' Index (PM1) edged up to 52.3 in March from 52.0 in February.

The HSBC China Services PMI is based on data compiled from monthly replies to questionnaires sent to purchasing executives at more than 400 private service-sector companies.
Any level above 50 reflects growth in the survey by HSBC and compiled by Markit.

The index, which showed a reading of 52 in February reached inched higher to 52.3 in March, indicating month-over-month expansion. In mid-2012, the readings comfortably hit the mid-fifties.

California State is urging its residents to limit watering to once a week in order to meet the 25% cutback goal. Other water districts will limit watering to two to three times a week.

The rule will be implemented to more than 400 individual water districts, where the mandatory cutback will be enforced. Water wasters will be charged with a fine of $500, said officials.

The California Water Resources Control Board will oversee, and could fine water districts up to $10,000 a day for lackluster conservation or enforcement

According to Reuters, GoDaddy Inc. managed to raise $460 million by selling 23 million class shares, priced at $20 after its initial public offering (IPO). Shares of the company increased up to 34% following its IPO.

According to Ernst & Young official Jackie Kelley, "Even though GoDaddy is almost 20 years old, it's a growth company and it's cash flow-positive, which is what investors are interested in".

GoDaddy, a publicly traded Internet domain registrar and web hosting company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, is concentrating on operations on small-business services, assisting in consumer-to-business and business-to-business transactions.

Online travel company Expedia is going to move its corporate headquarters from Bellevue, Washington, to Seattle. On Thursday, the company announced the move at a conference with Mayor of Seattle Ed Murray.

While announcing the new move, officials of the company said that it has planned to purchase a 40-acre waterfront campus from Amgen. They further stated that it was a hard decision to leave Bellevue. The headquarters of Expedia has more than 3,000 employees.

The online travel company was started in 1996 and has over 10,000 employees worldwide. The company has many brands, including Hotels.com and Hotwire.com. According to the company’s announcement on Thursday, it will purchase Amgen Inc.’s offices for about $229 million.
