New Delhi, June 19 : The Union Cabinet today approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on labour mobility partnership agreement between India and Denmark.

The objectives of the MOU is to facilitate safe and legal migration by promoting orderly migration of workers from India to meet the growing demand for skilled and trained workers in the Danish economy and to prevent illegal migration and the smuggling of people for financial benefits.

Rome - The Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has no intention to resign over the latest "false" reports on his private life, an Italian cabinet minister said in a newspaper interview published Friday.

Defence Minister Iganzio La Russa, a senior member of Berlusconi's conservative People of Freedom Party, was referring to reports of a judicial probe on payments allegedly made to several women in exchange for attending parties hosted by the premier.

New Delhi, June 19 : Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram today asked the Maoists to lay down arms and come forward for negotiations.

Talking to reporters here, Chidambaram assured that the Centre shall facilitate their talks with the West Bengal government.

"The state government is in regular touch with the Centre and the West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday," he added.

The ABCG2 gene's discovery sprang from a survey of the genomes of 12,000 individuals, which was conducted to find a genetic cause for gout.

Sydney - A 26-year-old man from a remote Aboriginal community who had tested positive for swine flu died Friday in an Adelaide hospital.

South Australia state health authorities said the death would not be listed as a swine flu casualty because the man had been admitted to an intensive care unit in the hospital suffering from other serious diseases before he was confirmed to have swine flu on Thursday.
