Jammu, June 21 : A fresh batch of 1,395 pilgrims left here on Sunday for their onward journey to the holy Amarnath cave shrine.

The batch comprising 734 men, 305 women, 60 children and 295 sadhus left in 50 vehicles including 31 buses from the base camp at Bhagwati Nagar here at around 4:50 a. m.

With today''s batch, a total of 6090 pilgrims have left Jammu for the cave shrine since the beginning of the Yatra on June 15.

Kuala Lumpur, June 21 : Malaysian cops have urged women to be more vigilant and be wary of strangers standing near them after e-mail messages showing at least nine pictures allegedly taken up the skirts of women in the country were widely circulated via the Internet recently.

From the messages, it seemed that the pictures were taken at several hypermarkets and bookshops nationwide.

All the women were obviously too busy in either reading books or looking for groceries when their pictures were taken.

Sana'a, Yemen - A Yemeni court of appeals on Sunday sentenced a former air force pilot to death for the murder of a Jewish man, court sources said.

The court in the north-western province of Amran convicted Abdul- Aziz al-Abdi, a 40-year-old retired Yemeni Air Force pilot, of premeditated murder, the sources told the German Press Agency dpa.

Al-Abdi has confessed to shooting dead Moshe al-Nahari, a member of the Jewish minority in the north-western town of Raida last December.
