Astronomers used Hubble Space Telescope and Spitzer space telescopes to discover what is believed to be the faintest object ever in the universe. The remote object existed approximately 400 million years after the big bang has been named ‘Tayna’ by an international team of astronomers.

It is not the first time when NASA’s Hubble and Spitzer spotted an object in the distant early universe, but the newly found object is from a small class of newly forming galaxies. According to the astronomers, the fainted objects could be considered as early universe’s representatives. They may reveal several interesting things about first galaxies and their formation, the astronomers added.

A new study published in the journal Science revealed that most migrating birds are poorly protected on their migration routes around the planet. It suggested that migratory birds are at risk when they stop for rest, feed and breed during their marathon journeys.

The study looked at migration paths of 1,451 migratory birds and kind of protections given to them in different regions around the globe. Study researchers found that more than 90% of the migratory birds didn’t find protected areas during their migration voyage.

The researchers said the new findings are surprising. Countries around the world need to do more to protect these migratory birds, they said. The researchers are also calling for new reserves in every nation to protect the migrating bird species.

Researchers are going to start testing Metformin, a medication used for the treatment of diabetes, as an anti-aging drug in a clinical trial in the coming year. When the medication is used to treat type 2 diabetes, the drug cuts the glucose produced in the liver, but according to researchers it could also slow down the aging process in individual cells by boosting the level of oxygen released into every cell.

The research has suggested that cutting the biological effects of aging is indicative of the probability of longer lifespans, staving off aging-related diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's and possibly would allow humans to live their lives till their 110s or 120s.

One of the major insurance companies of America Prudential Financial, Inc. has decided to provide life insurance coverage to people battling with HIV. The coverage will be provided in collaboration with ÆQUALIS, an innovative company bringing insurance products to under-served communities.

The move has been called as a milestone in the changing nature of the HIV infection under which HIV positive people will be able to obtain 10- and 15-year individual convertible term life insurance products. The life insurance products will be offered through Prudential’s issuing insurance companies.
