The massive Elasmotherium sibiricum was dubbed ‘Siberian unicorn’, though it shared just a bit besides a famous horn having most pop-culture depictions of the legendary unicorn. A new Italian research has claimed that acupuncture can provide relief from hot flashes to breast cancer suffers. The women diagnosed with breast cancer are often tired of hot flashes that become part of their life. The researchers of the study discovered that regular acupuncture session coupled up with good lifestyle could reduce their level discomfort in everyday life.

“Acupuncture together with enhanced self-care for three months is effective in reducing hot flashes in women with breast cancer”, said study author Giorgia Razzini, a clinical trial project manager in the oncology unit of Ospedale di Carpi (Carpi Hospital), in Bologna, Italy.

A study has been conducted by researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai to understand the accuracy of the tests done by Theranos, the controversial blood test company. The blood tests done by Theranos do not require needle jabs; only a prick on the finger is enough. The outcomes have not been very promising for the company. Blood tests results of 60 patients were used to carry out the analysis of tests conducted by Theranos.

These test results were compared with the test outcomes of other larger companies like Laboratory Corporation of America and Quest Diagnostics DGX +0.87%. The analysis revealed that cholesterol levels recorded by Theranos were regularly five to ten points too low.
