New Delhi [India], Sept. 15 : Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common cause of cancer and the sixth leading cause of cancer death among men worldwide.

The cancer projection data shows that the number of cases will become double by 2020.

In India, it is the second most common cancer in Indian males as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and various state cancer registries. The incidence rate in India is 9-10/100000 population which is higher than other parts of Asia and Africa but lower than USA and Europe.

Prostate is the second leading site of cancer among males in large Indian cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram; third leading site of cancer in cities like Bangalore and Mumbai.

Washington D.C. [USA], Sept. 15 : 'Justice League' is all set to awe DC Comics fans as it reveals the first look at Batman's new "tactical" suit.

In a tweet, director Zack Snyder, who is best known for action and science fiction films, gave a glimpse of the look and captioned it, "Homestretch. Last day filming Batman in the new Tactical Batsuit.#JusticeLeague #Batman."

Marked "Homestrech", the news came under a silhouette picture of Batman in his dark grey batsuit.

New Delhi, Sept 15 : The Indian Cyclists put up a commendable show on the opening day of the Track Asia Cup 2016, bagging six medals- three golds, two silvers and a bronze at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex Velodrome.

Deborah Herold did not disappoint her team and took home two gold medals on day one. In the women elite, 500m Deborah won the gold, clocking 35.964.

Mohd. Adnan Farina Shawati of Malaysia and Yin Yin from Hong Kong bagged the silver and bronze medal, respectively.

In women's Team Sprint Elite event, the Indian team comprising Deborah Herold and Kezia Vargheese beat the team from Kazakhstan to bag the gold medal with a timing of 35.962. A bronze medal was awarded to Rajkumari Devi, due to walkover at the women elite pursuit 3kms event.

New Delhi [India], Sept. 15 : Litigation is a scourge for a tax friendly regime. In order to reduce the pending litigation, the Direct Tax Dispute Resolution Scheme, 2016 (the Scheme) has come into force from June 1, 2016 and can be availed upto 31st December, 2016.

The scheme is available to the cases pending with the first appellate authority [i. e. CIT(A)] as on 29th February, 2016, subject to certain conditions. It also extends to the cases pending litigation owing to retrospective amendment at different levels.

Under the Scheme, if the amount of disputed tax is

• Up to Rs. 10 lakh, complete waiver from levy of penalty and from initiation of prosecution is provided on payment of assessed tax along with the interest.

New Delhi [India], Sept.15 (ANI): ONGC Videsh (and its wholly owned subsidiary ONGC Videsh Vankorneft Pte. Ltd., Singapore - OVVL) jointly signed definitive agreements with Rosneft, the national oil company of Russia for acquiring additional 11 percent shares in JSC Vankorneft, a company organised under the law of Russian Federation which is the owner of Vankor Field and North Vankor license.

Earlier, ONGC Videsh had successfully closed the acquisition of 15 percent shareholding interest on May 31, 2016. After the closing of the present transaction, ONGC Videsh will raise its participation share in Vankorneft to 26 percent. The acquisition is subject to relevant Board, Government and Indian and Russian regulatory approvals and is expected to close by end of 2016.
