London [UK], Nov 1 : Adele, who has a four-year-old son Angelo with charity entrepreneur Simon Konecki, has revealed that she struggled with depression after she gave birth to her first child.

In an interview with a magazine, the 28-year old singer disclosed, "I had really bad postpartum depression after I had my son, and it frightened me."

"My knowledge of postpartum-or post-natal, as we call it in England-is that you don't want to be with your child. But I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate; I felt like I'd made the worst decision of my life", she was quoted as saying by Daily Star.

Melbourne [Australia], Nov. 1 : Australian spinner Nathan Lyon has insisted that his team are ready compete with South Africa in the sledging department in the upcoming three match Test series.

Ever since Steve Smith has took over the captaincy, Australia---who are considered to be the masters of sledging in world cricket---have somewhat toned down their approach.

But the Australian off-spinner has suggested that there would be lot of fireworks on the field if the situation warrants it during the Proteas Test series, starting at the WACA in Perth from November 3.

Karachi [Pakistan], Nov. 1 : Pakistan appears to be on throes of a leadership crisis, especially when it comes to defining the relationship between the civilian administration and the military top brass.

At least this seems to be the case if one were to go by Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed's fervent appeal to the government and the opposition to mend fences and work for the unity of Pakistan.

Saeed, according to the Dawn, has urged ruling and opposition parties to resolve all their issues through talks and avoid becoming tools of international forces who only want both to ignite a crisis in Pakistan.

"Just a few days after the Quetta attack, which has left our scores of policemen dead, the country has plunged into a political crisis," he was quoted as saying.

Reviewing the ambient air quality status of the national capital, especially to review the damage post Diwali, the Ministry of Environment and Forests yesterday summoned the concerned Secretaries of NCR on November 4 to assess the situation.

It was observed that open burning of solid waste in and around Delhi, vehicular emissions in Delhi, dust by the roadside and around construction sites in Delhi and stubble burning of crop residue in neighbouring states of Delhi are major contributors to pollution in the national capital.

Johannesburg [South Africa], Nov. 1 : Former England captain Ian Botham has come in support of the Decision Review System (DRS), saying it is not going to go away.

The DRS grabbed many eye balls and featured prominently during the recently concluded England's 1-1 drawn Test series in Bangladesh. The series ended with Bangladesh's dramatic 108-run win in Dhaka, which was also their first Test match win over England.
