According to the research done at Queen's University it has been seen that Melanoma can be slowed after addition of a gene called MicroRNA 193b is added.

The person behind the noble work Victor Tron, head of pathology and molecular medicine, stated that on addition of miR-193b it was seen that rate of cancer was slowed at once, the reason being deficiency of gene in melanoma tumors.

It was further added that miRNA-193b gene was present in people's DNA and remained concealed until 10 years ago.
