Mumbai, Jan 19 - Contrary to rumours, Madhuri Dixit has no hang-ups about playing mother on screen. The Bollywood beauty, who is reported to have refused to play Sonam Kapoor's mom in a movie, says she is ready to essay any role as long as the script fascinates her.

"I don't feel weird about playing a mother on screen. I am a mother after all!" Madhuri told IANS, breaking into her trademark laugh and flashing that famous smile.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that nursing homes in Mumbai will not be renewed unless they possess a change of user certificate. Hearing these directions, 1500 odd nursing homes in Mumbai threatened to monitor a one day strike on February 1.

Maternity and nursing homes have also threatened to go an indefinite strike from February 15.
