Akkineni Nageshwara Rao has been awarded yet another honour by the government of India. Recognizing his contribution to the growth of Telugu Film industry both by being an actor par excellence and producer, the government announced the Padma Vibhushan for him on January 25. The award adds to the already existing list of prestigious awards he has won both by the film industry and the government.

As per official sources, individuals holding BPL cards in the state of Orissa would be covered under Rastriya Swasthya Bima Yojana from the coming fiscal.

Orissa's Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made this declaration during a high level meeting.

The minister stated, "The BPL families to be covered under the health insurance scheme will pay only Rs 30 per annum in order to get benefits."

Jeffrey Friedman and Rob Epstein are making a biopic titled Lovelace, based on the life of the late porn star Linda Lovelace. The script of the film will be written by W. Merritt Johnson and will be based on the book called 'The Complete Linda Lovelace' by Danville.

Ace music director A R Rahman has yet another opportunity of fetching his third Academy Award.

The Mozart of Madras has been nominated under the Best Original Song for the song ' If I Rise' and the Best Original Score from Danny Boyle's super-hit flick 127 Hours.

Previously, Rahman had won two Oscar trophies under the above-named sections for Danny Boyle's 2008 mega-hit British film Slumdog Millionaire.
