Deora Is Asked To File Reply By Nov 27

Deora Is Asked To File Reply By Nov 27The chief election commission of India has served a notice to union petroleum minister Murli Deora for his alleged announcement on fuel price reduction.

Mr. Deora had announced price reduction in line with falling international prices of crude oil, after completion of the ongoing election process and opposition parties, especially, BJP, objected to the comments of the Union Minister. It filed a complaint against him before the election commission. Now, the EC has asked the union minister to file his reply by November 27 on his comments regarding price cut.

However, Mr. Deora said that he fully respect the election commission and never violated election code of conduct in his public life of 45 years. He had just answered a query regarding the fuel price reduction, at the economic summit in the capital and not announced any policy statement of the government. He said that BJP is playing a political game and its recent stand is against the statements of BJP leaders V K Malhotra and Arun Jaitley, who demanded immediate fuel price cut, following the decline in the prices of crude in the international market.

Meanwhile, BJP said that the statement regarding fuel price cut is aimed to influence the voters for getting political gain in the elections. It asked for stern action against the minister for violating the election code of conduct.
