Glasgow  - Striker Sergio Aguero left the Argentine national team camp in Glasgow Tuesday, after his pregnant girlfriend - the daughter of new Argentina coach Diego Maradona - suffered health problems, Argentina officials confirmed.

Alejandro Mancuso, a member of the Argentina coach's team, told Argentine radio that Aguero travelled to join his partner, Giannina, in Madrid.

The girl's mother, Maradona's ex wife Claudia Villafane, told Argentine television that her daughter is in hospital, but she stressed that it is only a precautionary measure and that the baby is fine.

It seemed unlikely that Aguero would be able to play Wednesday in a friendly against Scotland that marks Maradona's debut as national team coach. (dpa)
