Cast of ''Dostana'' talk about their film in Mumbai
Mumbai, Nov 14 : Cast of the Bollywood flick ''Dostana'', which is a triangular love story spoke about their film in Mumbai on Thursday evening.
The film is being produced by Karan Johar and Hiroo Johar and Tarun Mansukhani is the director of the film.
The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Bobby Deol, Shilpa Shetty and Kirron Kher.
''Dostana'' which is set in Miami revolves around two men who pretend to be gays but fall for the same woman.
Abhishek Bachchan, who essays the role of Sammer in the film, said that the media had over hyped the homosexuality depicted in the film, while the film in no way propagates or negates it.
"I think way too much is being made about this homosexuality in the film. It is just the backdrop; this movie is not a comment on homosexuality. We are not propagating or negating it. We have utmost respect for that (homosexual) community," said Bachchan.
John Abraham felt that his chemistry with Abhishek Bachchan in the film was great.
"I think I am trying to do better in comedy but I think it''s due to the chemistry between me and Abhishek that we have got out a good performance," said John.
Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani composed the music of the film, while Anvita Dutt Guptan, Kumaar and Vishal Dadlani have penned the lyrics.
Priyanka Chopra, who plays Neha in the film, said that she had to really workout hard to attain her figure.
"I really had to workout a lot because for my film ''fashion'' I had put on a lot of weight but for my film ''Dostana'' the role required me to look slim and sexy. I had to train hard in the gym to look toned because people in Miami have good bodies. Training was hard because I don''t like going to the gym at all but for the movie I really had to work hard everyday in order to look good," said Chopra.
The film released in the theatres today. (ANI)
