Prince Harry turns Taliban ‘baddie’ to train troops for war action

Prince Harry turns Taliban ‘baddie’ to train troops for war actionLondon, Sept 15 : Prince Harry has got down to the serious business of training the troops to be deployed in war zones in Afghanistan and Iraq, by playing the part of the Taliban.

The British royal, who saw action in Afghanistan earlier this year, will lead 12 men in light tanks to simulate a small enemy attack force.

Harry’s team has been chosen by the Ministry of Defence to prepare troops to be posted in Afghanistan and Iraq for how it feels to be under attack 24 hours a day.

The 23-year-old has also been named as Harry The Taliban for his role in Operation Medman.

The team will take on a 1,000-strong regimental force at Suffield, near Medicine Hat in Canada.

Their four Scimitar armoured reconnaissance vehicles will be part of 20 light tanks ordered to switch to enemy colours.

“The men being deployed to war zones have to be brought up to speed on fighting a dangerous enemy,” British tabloid The Sun quoted a Household Cavalry insider as saying.

“Harry’s A Squadron will be setting up ambushes and carrying out hit-and-run attacks at any time of day and night.” (ANI)
