Sanjay Dutt Distressed Over Health Hype
The media reports about ill health of jailed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt have not only irked Yerawada jail officials but actor too has reportedly expressed his “unhappiness” over the issue.
The actor came across some “speculative reports about his health and expressed dejection, said sources.
The doctors, incidentally, had to return without checking up the actor because of huge crowd outside the prison.
A jail source said, “Dutt was unhappy when he heard unduly hyped reports about his chest pain in media.
Senior police officials were also bothered with the media hype surrounding a visit by a team of doctors to jail, for Dutt’s medical checkup.
Jail Suprintendent Rajendra Dhamane told that visit by doctors from the government Sasson Hospital was simply “routine” and Dutt was being treated as a normal convict.
He said, “Sanjay Dutt is absolutely fine and reports about doctors being sent especially for the actor from Sasson Hospital are totally untrue and just a media creation.
Sasson Hospital Superintendent Dr PS Pawar said he received a letter from the Yerawada jail superintendent requesting them to carry out a medical examination of Mumbai serial blasts convicts, including Sanjay Dutt.
Pawar said, “But the team of doctors could not enter jail due to huge crowd,” adding that the medical examination has been postponed.
Fans continued to gather outside Yerawada jail on the third consecutive day, in hope of catching a glimpse of actor, if he were to be taken to a hospital for a check up.
