McCain has any number of running mates to choose from
New York, July 14 : Florida Governor Charlie Crist is just one of several high-profile Republicans in the race to become John McCain’s running mate in his bid for the White House.
Unlike Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, McCain does not seem to be short of potential running mates, reports the New York Daily News.
Apart from Crist, former governors Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal are said to be in the race for Vice President.
On the Democratic side, several high-profile politicians have withdrawn from contention.
