Prince William taking tips from Royal Marines' crackshots

Prince William taking tips from Royal Marines' crackshotsLondon, June 8 : Prince William is honing his skills for his ongoing two-month attachment with the Royal Navy by taking tips from the Royal Marine Commandos’ sniper unit, which consists of some of the world’s deadliest fighters.

On June 6, the young Royal, known as sub officer Wales as part of a two-month attachment with the Royal Navy, was shown how to use L96 rifles and avoid detection on missions by a team of crackshots.

Wills then witnessed a mock battle as one team tried to find a hidden group of camouflaged gunmen.

The Prince was flown by chopper to nearby training grounds from his base in Dartmouth, Devon.

“There is no better way to learn about this job than to see it first hand. The lads were delighted to have him on board for the morning and Wills was impressed by the snipers,” The Sun quoted an insider, as saying.

“It’s a highly skilled job and he was chuffed to see them in action,” the source added. (ANI)
