Poll Deal With BJD To Go On
Bhubaneswar: Rajnath Singh, national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that his party’s electoral grouping with the Biju Janata Dal in the State will go forward in the coming years.
While addressing a press meeting, Mr. Rajnath said that there was no dissimilarity between the two political parties and the alliance government was doing well in the State.
“The coalition government is providing a clean and transparent administration,” Mr. Singh added.
Previously, he met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and talked about different issues regarding the State.
With reference to senior BJP leader Jual Oram’s critique of the Chief Minister and confrontation to leasing out of Khandadhar iron ore mines to POSCO-India, Mr. Singh said he and the party’s Orissa in-charge Vinay Katiyar had discoursed the issue with Mr. Oram and the latter had felt sorry for making certain remarks against Mr. Patnaik “emotionally.”
Mr. Katiyar said, “Mr. Oram has already admitted that he should not have made any such remarks against the Chief Minister. The issue has been jufully resolved.”
