Aluminium on MCX settled up 0.79% at 127.9 as prices seen supported by an upturn in manufacturing growth in China. Growth in China's services sector slowed slightly in February compared with the previous month but remained robust. Activity in China's manufacturing sector expanded faster than expected in February, an official survey showed. Japanese manufacturing activity expanded in February at the fastest pace in almost three years, a private survey showed. A major aluminium producer has made an indicative offer of a premium of $125 per tonne to Japanese buyers for April-June primary metal shipments, up 32 percent from the last quarter, three sources directly involved in pricing talks said. The offer comes as premiums climb in the United States and Europe, and as some Japanese buyers face lower inventories due to healthy local demand. Japan is Asia's biggest aluminium importer and the premiums for primary metal shipments that it agrees to pay each quarter over the London Metal Exchange (LME) cash price set the benchmark for the region. In economic news, the Commerce Department released a report showing a rebound in durable goods orders in the month of January. The report said durable goods orders jumped by 1.8 percent in January after falling by a revised 0.8 percent in December. Technically market is under fresh buying as market has witnessed gain in open interest by 30.41% to settled at 4267 while prices up 1 rupees, now Aluminium is getting support at 126.8 and below same could see a test of 125.6 level, And resistance is now likely to be seen at 128.7, a move above could see prices testing 129.4.
