Armed commando kills five people from single family in Brazi
Rio de Janeiro - A group of armed men killed five people belonging to the same family Tuesday in the town of Viamao, near the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, police said.
The massacre was perpetrated at the family home of the victims, two 22-year-old twin brothers, the wife of one of them and two teenagers. The mother of the twins had been killed last week in Porto Alegre.
According to the police, of seven people in the house, only a 10- year-old girl and her 1-year-old brother survived. Both were not hurt by the attackers.
Porto Alegre police said one of the twins had stopped paying drug dealers the money he owed them. The other twin was being sought by Justice officials. (dpa)
