Melbourne, Oct 16 (ANI): The fall of the World Trade Centre twin towers on Sept 11, 2001 has been voted ‘The Most Memorable TV Moment Of The Past 50 Years’.

Coming in second in the 2000 Brit viewers on behalf of digital TV service Freeview was Princess Diana's funeral 10 years ago.

Third place went to Neil Armstrong's historic 1969lunar landing in which he famously said: “That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind”, reports News.com.au.

The top five was rounded off by the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and Bob Geldof telling 1.5 billion viewers to "give us your f...g money" at a Live Aid concert to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia, which came in fourth and fifth place respectively.
