Simon Cowell To Receive Special Emmy AwardOctober 7, 2010 : Music mogul and former American Idol judge Simon Cowell will be soon conferred with a special prize. He would receive this prize at the soon-to-be-held 38th International Emmy Awards.

Cowell will be presented with the International Emmy Founders Award for his works on a variety of TV talent shows like 'American Idol' and 'America's Got Talent'.

Jason Priestley will be hosting this ceremony in the media capital of the world, New York on the 22nd of November, this year.

He has also judged on shows like Pop Idol, The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. He owns Syco, a television production and music publishing house. The man is known for his extremely blunt and often sarcastic comments that he showers upon each and every contestant who perform in front of him.

Recently, he featured on the seventh series of The X Factor and in the fourth series of Britain's Got Talent.

In all, TV stars from 15 different nations are nominated for this really coveted award. Cowell, who is now 50, would be joined by nine other UK television stars, nominated for the awards. Some of the nations from which stars are nominated are Brazil, Argentina, Denmark, Israel, Germany, Japan and Mexico.
