Nippon Paint to inject rupees 250 crore in India
In order to expand itself in India, Japanese paint maker, Nippon Paint is going to make more investments in the country. The corpus that it has set aside for this purpose is worth rupees 250 crore.
The company said that the expansion and injection of money will be over within next three years time.
As of now, Nippon has three facilities in India and are at- Pune, Bangalore and Chennai. As of present, it has already put in rupees 250 crore in the country.
Talking to a private news agency, PTI, Nippon Paint India's President (Decorative), Ramakanth Akula said, "The paints industry is growing in the country and we want to tap the market. We will invest Rs 250-crore in the country by
2013. Besides, we are doubling our Chennai facility's production capacity to 40,000 kilolitres per annum from the present 20,000-kilolitres by August 2011."
Out of the rupees 250 crore, rupee 40 crore will be spent in setting up a new plant in Taloja in Maharashtra by April 2011. The other decorative plant will come up in Haryana by 2012.
